| The Adoption Exchange envisions a world in which all children are valued and grow up in safe and permanent families, and where families are supported in their critical roles. |
| Nationwide 129,000 children wait in foster care for adoption. A majority of them are children of minority heritage who face significant developmental, medical, behavioral and/or emotional challenges. Many are members of sibling groups; most are school-aged. The Adoption Exchange works to make the connection between families who adopt and these children who wait. |
