Celebrate 6001        Adoption Placements
Count Up to 6,000

Please share in this special celebration with us!

Each adoption placement is the result of a collaborative team of social workers, adoption professionals, adoptive families, staff, volunteers, advocates and supporters. Everyone puts their heart and soul into these critical life changing placements.

Thank you.  It matters!

Cheer with me the children who recently have been placed with their "forever families."

♥  A sibling group of four, ages 7 through 14,  were spotted on our website by a family now committed to raising them together!

♥  Picture a twelve-year-old LEGOs artist creating new projects in his own room with his new family!  This boy from Utah is finally home.

♥  An eleven-year-old who dreamed of camping out with his family will now have parents with whom to pitch a tent!

♥  The new year finds a twelve year old, who loves to have intelligent discussions, sitting around the table talking with a family who loves him.

♥  A fifteen-year-old history buff now has a family with whom to sightsee!

♥  Horses were what a ten-year-old Colorado girl loved.  Now she has a family to love as well!

♥  A fourteen-year-old girl who loves to hike will now be taking to the trails with her new family around her!

♥  Wednesday's Child was where a ten-year-old's new family first learned about her!  This girl loves Bratz dolls.

♥  A six-year-old girl will play house in her new home with her loving new parents looking on.

♥  Santa found a five-year-old from Colorado in his new home on Christmas Eve!

♥  A thirteen-year-old soccer player will now have her new family cheering for her from the stands!

♥  A teen who loves chuch has received the answer to his prayer: his very own family, his forever.

♥  Supporting their 15-year-old to attempt his dream of becoming a doctor will be a pleasure for a new adoptive family!

♥  A sister and brother from New Mexico, ages seven and five, were in their new home for Christmas, placed together!

♥  An eight-year-old who dreamed of a family "with a good cook" has been happily enjoying holiday fare with his new family!

♥  A brother and sister, ages eight and two, found toys in their stockings in their new adoptive home

♥  Four brothers and sisters, ages 3 to 12, are spending Christmas together with their new family this week.  No longer will they worry that they will grow up separated from each other!

♥  Another sibling group of three will hang their stockings together in their own living room with a new mom and a new dad!

♥  An 18-year-old boy is being adopted!  He will now have a family to help send him to college and to be there when he comes home for the holidays!

♥  A five year old girl will dance to the Nutcracker Suite in her new home with her forever family!  This little ballerina has been placed!

♥  Drawing his new family in his forever home, an eleven-year-old artist is home in time for the holidays! This guy's strength is a great sense of humor.

♥  We are happy to announce that a 12-year-old boy will open holiday presents in his new family!   This football player gets along great with everyone.

♥  Two sisters, ages eleven and seven, will welcome Santa in their new family! These girls are both into art and have many friends.

Many families have shared their family celebrations!

♥   I am privileged to have also adopted on May 21, 2009 a beautiful girl who now has an older sister.  We are thankful to God for having placed her in our path and DYFS for giving us the opportunity to be her forever family.

♥  Just want to add to the count: we are having placed our new 16 year old daughter on the 18th, just in time for Christmas!

♥   We adopted out 2 precious daughters from Arapahoe County.  My Christmas gift was our youngest child saying to me, "You are my REAL Mommy, get it!"  To which I replied, "You are my real daughter, get it!"

Each life is so precious . . . as they learn the true meaning of family and have a chance for a brighter future.

Over the years, I see the children begin to heal with their new family rituals . . . the car pools, dad’s Sunday breakfast and holidays at grandma's. They begin to feel valued and loved, and their dreams begin to change -- they have hope of attending their prom, going to college and growing up to be a fire fighter or a teacher.

As we celebrate, we are reminded how important our work is.  We must continue--today there are more than 123,000 children living in foster care who need adoptive families.  Together, let's change their lives!

Thank you for your role in this special celebration,
